As a part of the National Science Day Celebration, on 25th of February an outreach programme to Mijika High School was organized. The objective of the programme was to sensitize the school students about the importance of National Science Day and enrich their minds through various scientific experiments to inculcate a scientific temperament amongst them. The programme was conducted by the faculties and degree students of Department of Physics and Chemistry and was attended by around 150 students of Mizika HS along with their teachers. An inaugural address highlighting the objective of the programme was delivered by Mr. Arunav Phukan, Head Department of Physics. It was followed by a lecture on National Science Day – 2023 and about CV Raman by Mr. Rajesh Mandal, Head Department of Chemistry. It was then succeeded by experimental demonstrations by students and faculties of Chemistry and Physics.
